Palm Beach County reminds residents and motorists that the intersection of Northlake Boulevard and Beeline Highway will be closed 24/7 starting tonight at 8 p.m. through Sunday, August 10, to accommodate vital railroad track replacement and signalization improvements being performed by CSX.

Motorists should continue to follow the established detour routes, which include Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, Southern Boulevard, Military Trail, and Northlake Boulevard. Additional alternate routes include Coconut Boulevard, Orange Boulevard, Royal Palm Beach Boulevard, 60th Street, State Road 7, and Okeechobee Boulevard. Detour signage is posted throughout the area, and law enforcement officers will be stationed to assist with traffic flow and maintain safety.

First responders and emergency vehicles will maintain unrestricted access to the closed intersection and surrounding areas for the duration of the closure. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) has increased staffing, equipment, and resources in the area to ensure fast, efficient response during the closure. Watch a message from PBCFR Battalion 2 District Chief Amanda Vomero to the residents they serve in the western communities.

For the latest project updates, detour maps, and access to live traffic camera views, residents are encouraged to visit the official project webpage at pbc.gov/northlakeclosure. The website is a valuable tool for staying informed throughout the closure. Residents can also follow Palm Beach County on social media for updates as they become available.
