Regular meetings of NAMAC are generally held on the third Friday of each month. Meetings begin at 1&#58;30 p.m. and are held in the Vista Center at 2300 North Jog Road, West Palm Beach, Florida in room VC-1W-4 on the first floor. All meetings are open to the public. The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to review and comment on management plans developed by staff for natural areas and conservation lands managed by the Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management (&quot;ERM&quot;), with a specific focus on proposed public uses of these sites, and to make recommendations to staff on possible changes to each plan prior to making a recommendation to the Board on approval of the plan.</div>

<strong>Directions&#58;</strong> From I-95 exit at W Atlantic Ave. - head west to Congress Ave. -  turn right and head north on Congress Ave. to Lake Ida Rd.  – turn right and head east to Lake Ida Park Rod (just east of I-95 overpass) – turn into park and drive to the north end - circled area on map - look for white County truck to find volunteer meeting area.<br><br> 
<strong>Additional Information&#58;</strong>  We will be cleaning along restoration areas within Lake Ida Park  – we will also have an airboat from Mosquito Control to grab trash not accessible from the shoreline. Volunteers should wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty or wet. Restroom facilities are available at Lake Ida Park. The Department will supply tools, gloves and refreshments.  <strong><u>Event participation is limited to the first 15 volunteers who register</u>.</strong><br><br>

<strong>Directions&#58;</strong> From I-95 exit at 10th Ave. N.  – head east to Federal Highway (U.S. Highway 1) – turn right and head south to Lake Ave – turn left and head east – Bryant Park is on the right just before the bridge – meet at the Bryant Park boat ramp.<br><br>
<strong>Additional Information&#58;</strong>  Volunteers will be transported by boat to the mangrove planters along the Lake Worth Beach Golf Club. Volunteers should be prepared for wet and muddy working conditions. <strong>Volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes – no sandals or flip flops allowed</strong>. Restroom facilities are available at Bryant Park. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments.   <strong><u>Event participation is limited to the first 15 volunteers who register</u>.</strong><br><br>

<strong>Duration&#58;</strong> 8 am to 11 am (<strong><u>Volunteers must be on site no later than 8&#58;10 a.m.</u></strong> The group will be trucked to the cleanup area which is several miles west of the parking lot.)<br><br>
<strong>Directions&#58;</strong> From I-95 exit at Donald Ross Road – head east on Donald Ross Road to U.S. Highway 1 – turn left and head north on U.S. Highway 1 for roughly ¼ mile – the parking lot entrance is on the west side of U.S. Highway 1 – you will have to make a U-turn to access the parking lot.<br><br> 
<strong>Additional Information&#58;</strong> We will be removing trash from areas along the Intracoastal Waterway. This includes removing trash from rock rip rap – climbing over unstable rock. Volunteers should wear old clothes and shoes that they do not mind getting wet and dirty. We will also remove trash from the mangroves along the FIND boat basin. Hats and sunscreen are recommended. Restroom facilities are not available at the site. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments. <strong><u>Event participation is limited to the first 12 volunteers who register</u>.</strong><br><br>

<strong>Directions&#58;</strong> From I-95 exit at Congress Ave. - head south on Congress Ave. to Clint Moore Road - turn left and head east on Clint Moore Road for roughly 1/2 mile - the natural area entrance is located on the north side of Clint Moore Road - volunteers will need to make a U-turn on Clint Moore Road (at the Boca Raton Shrine Club) to access the natural area parking lot – do not park at the Shrine Club - we will meet everyone in the Yamato Scrub parking lot and then proceed to the project work area.<br><br> 
<strong>Additional Information&#58;</strong> Volunteers will be removing trash from areas along Clint Moore Road and interior sections of the natural area. We recommend volunteers wear old clothes and shoes that they don’t mind getting dirty. Some of the work areas may be near saw palmettos and other prickly vegetation – long pants are recommended. Many of the work areas will be out in the open, so hats and sunscreen are recommended. Restroom facilities are not available at the site. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments. <strong><u>Event participation is limited to the first 12 volunteers who register</u>.</strong><br><br>
