1. Must be 15 years old on or before the final scheduled session of this course.
2. Complete a swim-tread-swim sequence without stopping to rest: Jump into the water and totally submerge, resurface then swim 150 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both (Swimming on the back or side is not permitted, goggles are allowed), Then maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs, floating, or both, then swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both.
3. Complete a timed brick retrieval event within 1 minute, 40 seconds.

Programs and Amenities

We strive to keep the pool temperature between 78 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. However, slight fluctuations may occur during adverse weather conditions​.​

Amenities

Lake Lytal Family Aquatic Center offers a 25yd by 50m Olympic sized pool, a 1 and 3 meter diving board, 3 slide flumes and a children’s interactive play structure.

Special Programs and Training

Lake Lytal Pool is excited to offer special training programs to any qualified and interested individuals or groups. Programs include Junior Lifeguard Camp​, American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification​​​, American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification​ and American Red Cross CPR Certification. Classes may be requested at any time. Offerings will run based on numbers of candidates and instructor availability.​

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification

Lifeguard certification courses are being offered free of charge. Prerequisite skills and successful class completion is still required for certification.​​​ View upcoming courses​.​

Swim Lessons​

Private Facility Rentals

Lake Lytal Pool is available to rent after hours for functions such as birthday parties and group events with a minimum of two (2) hours. Reservations are available on a first come first serve basis and are required at least two weeks prior at a minimum of two hours. We will provide you 30 minutes for set up and 30 minutes for clean up free of charge. You can choose from three options: 

 Play Pool Only - The price for renting the play pool is $115.50 per hour plus tax. This includes the play pool, picnic area, three lifeguards and a maximum of 50 guests. 

Big Pool Only - The price for renting the big pool is $244.50 per hour plus tax. This includes the big pool, slides, diving boards, picnic area, six lifeguards and a maximum of 50 guests. 

Entire Facility - The price for renting the entire facility is $373.50 per hour plus tax. This includes the entire facility, six lifeguards and a maximum of 100 guests. 

Rules: The following are NOT PERMITTED: ALCOHOL, SMOKING, VAPING, COOKING, OPEN FLAMES TO KEEP FOOD WARM AND GLASSWARE. FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. 

UMBRELLA RENTALS

You can rent an umbrella for a pool party on Saturdays during regular operating hours. This reserves you an area by the play pool for you and your guests to enjoy.  You can choose from two options: 

​Small Umbrella $30 (plus tax) - Designed for parties up to 20 people. Includes two picnic tables with benches. 

Large Umbrella $45 (plus tax) - Designed for parties up to 45 people. Includes three picnic tables with benches. 

Rules: Fees are non-refundable. Payment reserves the date for your party. It does NOT include pool admission. Advanced admission tickets are available upon request. If you do not wish to purchase advanced tickets, guests can pay at the window on the day of party. No one is allowed to set up before operating hours. Facility opens at 9:30am. Site must be cleaned and cleared by 4:00pm when facility closes. The following are NOT PERMITTED: ALCOHOL, COOKING, SMOKING, VAPING, OPEN FLAMES TO KEEP FOOD WARM, GLASSWARE, MUSIC THAT OTHER PATRONS FIND INAPPRORIATE OR OFFENSIVE. These rules are strictly enforced.​

PRIVATE RENTALS DURING NON-OPERATING HOURS

Reservations are required at least three (3) weeks prior to any pool rental. The facility may be rented before or after operating hours. Minimum of two (2) hours required.

There are three (3) options to choose from:

  1. Play Pool Only - $115.50 per hour plus tax (this includes the play pool, picnic area, 3 lifeguards and a maximum of 50 guests)
  2. Main Pool Only - $244.50 per hour plus tax (this includes the big pool, slides, diving boards, picnic area, 6 lifeguards and a maximum of 50 guests)

A minimum of 10 tickets must be purchased and cannot be used on the same day of purchase.

Advanced Group Tickets

  • Adults - $4.05 plus tax
  • Children - $3.45 plus tax

All infants are required to wear swim diapers with a cover.
All guests must pay admission fees even if they are not swimming.
All guests must wear bathing suits to enter the pool (No exceptions).
No refunds for inclement weather.

​Guarded beach locations

​Palm Beach County’s Ocean Rescue lifeguards protect swimmers at fourteen oceanfront and inlet parks from Tequesta to Boca Raton. Swimming areas are guarded when a condition flag is flying from the lifeguard tower at most parks year-round, seven days a week, from 9:00 am – 5:20 pm with exceptions at DuBois Park and Peanut Island. Guard availability may change without notice—look for the condition flag before swimming​. 

  • DuBois Park is guarded seven days a week during Palm Beach County public school summer recess. After school starts, the swimming areas at DuBois Park are guarded ONLY on weekends during the public school year.
  • Peanut Island is currently unguarded during the week.​
Please note, dogs are not allowed on county beaches, with the exception of service animals as defined by the ADA​.​

(Located south of the park and accessed using dune crossovers. No parking available.)

Beach Accessibility​
Beach wheelchairs and ADA Beach Mats/Mobi Mats are available at some county beach parks for wheelchair users and people with mobility impairment. For specific locations, please refer to the beach locations.

Please note that lifeguards are not permitted to assist in transferring an individual from a personal wheelchair to the beach wheelchair. A companion must be available to provide assistance in getting in and out of wheelchairs and using the beach wheelchair on the sand.

There will be occasions in which beach access is unavailable due to beach erosion or construction, or there might not be enough sand to safely use the beach wheelchair or ADA Beach Mat/Mobi Mat. We strongly recommend that you call in advance to ensure the beach wheelchair and ADA Beach Mat/Mobi Mat is available for safe use.​
