Purpose
The Community Engagement Task Force was established by the Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) as a result of the 2016 Annual Planning Meeting priorities. Its purpose is to provide information and discover how the public can be best served. In addition, the goals include support of law enforcement by providing the community with background information on issues that matter to public safety. Law enforcement continues to build on a culture of transparency and accountability to build public trust and legitimacy. The task force aims to foster better understanding of the criminal justice system and its many facets.
