Hill Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33413.
At the meeting, additional contract and project information will be discussed for two upcoming Capital
Improvement Contracts to address emerging contaminants, PFOS and PFOA:
Project No. WUD 24-033 Water Treatment Plant No. 2 Membrane Expansion Construction Management at Risk (CMAR). One (1) CMAR entity will be selected to provide pre-construction and construction services for a brand new 21 MGD membrane plant at Water Treatment Plant No. 2 located in Lake Worth, Florida. The major project elements include, but are not limited to, plant expansion and hardening, pre-treatment systems, membrane building, chemical systems, clearwell, air scrubbers, ground storage tanks, pumping systems, electrical and instrumentation and control, wellfield expansion and raw water main installation. Advertisement is anticipated in July or August 2025. The construction budget is estimated to be $150,000,000 to $200,000,000.
Project No. WUD 25-034 Water Treatment Plant No. 8 Membrane Expansion Progressive Design-Build. One (1) Design-Build Entity will be selected to provide Design-Build professional engineering and construction services for a brand new membrane plant at Water Treatment Plant No. 8 located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The major project elements include, but are not limited to, plant expansion and hardening, pilot testing, wellfield expansion, pre-treatment systems, membrane building, chemical systems, clearwell, air scrubbers, ground storage tanks, pumping systems, electrical building and instrumentation and control, deep injection well and dual zone monitoring well. Advertisement is anticipated in July or August 2025. The project budget is estimated to be $200,000,000 to $250,000,000.
